Time to Think

December is a busy month for us all. In the midst of all the busyness, believers must get excited about Jesus and what He has done, what He is doing, and what He is going to do!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:1-5

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

These are great scriptures to mediate on as we are about to enter a new year. When we go to bed at night and when we get up each morning, a great peace will come on us because, as believers, we have given our life to the creator of it all and He holds it all together. He came from heaven to earth to show us the way! This brings me great comfort because I know that no matter what comes my way, my Lord and Savior will see me through!

If we get so busy focusing on other things and allow this great understanding to be pushed to the side, our life will be full of chaos and confusion. Let’s mediate on what went right this year and what went wrong. First and foremost, wrong is if we have not received Jesus as our personal Savior, or if we have placed Him second to anything or any person.

Let’s take some time this month to purpose in our heart to change some things so next year is more fulfilling than this year. And remember why we celebrate Christmas — JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Does it matter which Bible version is used? The New International Version is easier to read than the King James Version, but the Amplified Bible gives better descriptions. Thank you!

This is the first month in a New Year and I am sure we all made some declaration for this New Year which wholes new beginnings if we will allow them to be.
