Add to not Take away!

This is the first month in a New Year and I am sure we all made some declaration for this New Year which wholes new beginnings if we will allow them to be. Instead of giving up I always add something to my walk with the Lord and when I do that it seems to take care of what I should give up or change.

When we are born again or born from above we are instantly new creations in Christ. We just celebrated His virgin birth and why and how He came from heaven to earth to show us the way. So now our God is in the process of removing anything that is not of Him. The Apostle Paul says, … you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. Colossians 3:9-10 This is a wonderful understand for all of us who are followers of Christ.

I love the words, being renewed, which means it is a continual process of being set at one again. Before we accepted Jesus and totally gave our hearts and lives to Him we were opposing Him and we found nothing foundational or permanent for our life. But after our acceptance we are beinging renewed which sets us at one again with a purposes and hope for eternal living with Jesus Christ the Savior of the world! He was born, walked this earth, and died for every human being in this world but all the human beings in the world must choose Him.

Start this year by adding something to our life and that might be walking with Jesus for the first time or being more consumed with our walk with Jesus adding more time for Him. This will add more hope, love, joy, peace, faith, strength, encouragement, sel control, and the list goes on and on.

That is a question often asked by new believers. The Bible is very clear about this. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Many people are confused by this question. But before I answer it, I want to make clear that there is a real heaven and a real hell! Everyone goes to one place or the other—their choice! So, no, everyone does not go to heaven, but everyone will go somewhere when they die.

The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about prayer. We must give thought to how Jesus told his disciples to pray.

So many horrible things are happening in our world today—children and adults gunned down in the middle of prayer, lives being destroyed by wars, famines, floods, fires, absolute madness– and if we allow ourselves to focus totally on these things, fear can totally take over and then we will become victims instead of a v

We are eternal beings, and we shall live for eternity somewhere! If we think we are saved, we are not! We must KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that we are born from above and have both an earthly address and a heavenly address. This is done by accepting Jesus as our Savior and living for HIM!
Focus sign

I see so many believers focusing on world events and the despair in our world. That may well be a focus for the unbeliever but certainly not for a believer! If we read our manual for success (Bible) and obey what it is teaching us, then we will have all our focus on Jesus and the cross! Jesus did everything for us on t
