John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 

The enemy comes for no other reason than to steal, kill, and destroy all aspects of our life. Jesus has for us life more abundant. What part of this do we not understand? 

I tell people all the time to keep the conflict in its proper place—spiritual! Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 

If you know anything about wrestling, it is a contact sport! This scripture tells us our problem is NOT PEOPLE but what is in the heavenly or spirit realm. So we need to let go of what people say and do and know they are influenced by the demonic in the spiritual. We cannot allow the flesh or our emotions to rule our lives.

It’s our choice either to obey our manual for success (the Bible) or to allow our flesh to rule our lives. Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. This is contrasting two different kinds of people, those who live according to the flesh, and those who live according to the Spirit. One is rebellion against God, the way of the flesh, and the other is the ways of Jesus, the way of the Spirit. 



Here is the reality: our mindset is evidence of our spiritual condition. Our mindset states our basic nature as a Christian or non-Christian which has eternal consequences and shows our attitude toward God. We choose… but remember, each choice has a consequence! Let’s choose each moment of each day to have our mind SET on the Spiritual causing us to grow daily in our faith producing a VICTORIOUS LIFE!
