Feeling Empty

Dear Judy,

I know I am supposed to be joyful this time of the year, but I am not! It all seems so plastic and empty to me, even in the church! Feeling Pretty Empty

Dear Feeling Empty,

This time of year, and it starts at Thanksgiving, a lot of people are feeling the same way. Unbelievers have nothing to help them through these emotions, but born-again believers do. We are children of God and have so many reasons to be thankful, which we should be expressing many times each day — from the moment we get up to when we go to bed.

Heaven is our home, and we are just passing through here. We have an assignment to bring people to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords; to the only true hope — JESUS!

When we get our eyes off ourselves and on to what this season is truly about, then joy will spring up from our spirit, overriding our emotions and the lies of the devil!

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men! Luke 2:14

I encourage you to read and reread these Scriptures in your manual for success (the Bible). Allow the Holy Spirit to redirect your focus from plastic to praise for all you have in Christ —salvation, hope, and purpose! A Savior who will never leave you nor forsake you. Your emptiness will be replaced with joy as you realize Jesus loves you and gave Himself for you… and for all mankind. We are celebrating His birthday. We give because He gave humbly out of love! Focus on the reason for the season — JESUS! And have a very blessed Christ-centered Christmas.

Many people are confused by this question. But before I answer it, I want to make clear that there is a real heaven and a real hell! Everyone goes to one place or the other—their choice! So, no, everyone does not go to heaven, but everyone will go somewhere when they die.

So many horrible things are happening in our world today—children and adults gunned down in the middle of prayer, lives being destroyed by wars, famines, floods, fires, absolute madness– and if we allow ourselves to focus totally on these things, fear can totally take over and then we will become victims instead of a v

We are eternal beings, and we shall live for eternity somewhere! If we think we are saved, we are not! We must KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that we are born from above and have both an earthly address and a heavenly address. This is done by accepting Jesus as our Savior and living for HIM!

I see so many believers focusing on world events and the despair in our world. That may well be a focus for the unbeliever but certainly not for a believer! If we read our manual for success (Bible) and obey what it is teaching us, then we will have all our focus on Jesus and the cross! Jesus did everything for us on t

The Lord speaks to us through His manual for success (Bible). But are we listening? We are living in very evil times, but we can also see revival among people if we watch Christian News. When people get saved in great numbers, we need to pray for them to truly get connected. A merely emotional experience is not becoming born again. Conversion is believing that the Lord Jesus Christ went to the cross, died, and rose again, and we ask Him to forgive our sin.
