No Regrets

Dear Judy, This month we honor our mothers. That opportunity is lost to me for now because Mom passed away. I do know my mom is walking the streets of gold in Heaven because she was a born-again Christian. I too am a born-again Christian so I know I shall see her again in Heaven, but how I regret not spending quality time more often with my mother. I miss her so much. This month I just want to encourage your readers that if their mom is still alive, make more time to really love her, listen to her stories, even if you've heard them a dozen times before. You will honor her...and have fewer regrets.

Dear No Regrets,

This is a great reminder to all of us who still have our mothers with us to honor them. This is a command from God in the Bible both Old and New testaments: Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you (Exodus 20:12); “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth (Ephesians 6:2-3). The word honor means to value or give high esteem.

How wonderful to know we will live together for eternity with our Christian loved ones. But for sure, we still miss them until then. Enjoy the memories of the times you had and do not focus on the time you did not have. Some of the readers may not have had a good mom, and I say to them to give your mom value because she brought you into this world. You are reading this article because of your mom. Value them for that and forgive the rest, whether she is still living or not. It is wise for us all to reread the scriptures above… Our life depends on it.

Thank you for reminding us to not get too busy for our moms now and honor her every day! If your mom is gone, find a mom who needs to be HONORED. We want NO REGRETS!

Well, let me start with the most important thing you bring up. I noticed the word I THINK in your question. Just because you go to church does not mean you are a born-again believer.

Woman covering her eyes

Everywhere we look, so many people are going through horrible things. Every time I take a hot shower, the Lord brings to my mind how many people have no water at all! Bad weather and fires have destroyed so many lives. People without the Lord have no hope. But those who have received Jesus as their personal Savior and are trusting HIM and His Promises found in their manual for success (the Bible) – they have hope!

Have you ever thought about the word “wilderness” and what that means for the Christian and the non-Christian? To be a Christian we must believe—which is to trust and have confidence that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again! Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

STAY WATCHFUL! I am sure we can all agree, 2025 started off with much tragedy and woe! Terrorist attacks killing many, devastating fires in the LA area, a horrible plane and helicopter collision, and another plane crash two days later! Many families in mourning. Truly, the devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and sadly, he’s doing a good job at it. But remember, our Lord is far greater than the devil, and He is ultimately in control.

Christianity 101—Life with God after Salvation We are living in very tough times that are only getting harder. As followers of Jesus, we should be strong in the Lord and full of faith, experiencing the God of the impossible. But are we? Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I believe Jesus is looking at us and our fellowships and asking if we truly believe this. Are we living this Scripture out to a watching world?
