Searching One

Dear Judy,

I worship with a loving group of people, but I think I'm outgrowing most of them, spiritually. I want more from my relationship with the Lord than what is being presented to me where I am. How will I know when it's the right time to move on?

Dear Searching One,

This is a hard question to answer because worship means to serve, have adoration, and reverence. All parts of the service are worship so when you feel you are outgrowing them spiritually, it may be time to rethink if you are where you belong, just as you are doing.

It is wonderful to have a fellowship that is loving and worships the Lord together, but we also need a pastor who is challenging us from the pulpit to become who God wants us to become. We are to be challenged to touch those who do not know the Lord to come to Jesus Christ, our only hope. We must be challenged to rise higher in the spirit of God, to know the spiritual realm and know the earthly from the spiritual. If this is not taking place where you followship, then the Holy Spirit will lead you elsewhere to equip you in this dynamic. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit!

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11,12

That is a question often asked by new believers. The Bible is very clear about this. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Many people are confused by this question. But before I answer it, I want to make clear that there is a real heaven and a real hell! Everyone goes to one place or the other—their choice! So, no, everyone does not go to heaven, but everyone will go somewhere when they die.

The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about prayer. We must give thought to how Jesus told his disciples to pray.

So many horrible things are happening in our world today—children and adults gunned down in the middle of prayer, lives being destroyed by wars, famines, floods, fires, absolute madness– and if we allow ourselves to focus totally on these things, fear can totally take over and then we will become victims instead of a v

We are eternal beings, and we shall live for eternity somewhere! If we think we are saved, we are not! We must KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that we are born from above and have both an earthly address and a heavenly address. This is done by accepting Jesus as our Savior and living for HIM!

I see so many believers focusing on world events and the despair in our world. That may well be a focus for the unbeliever but certainly not for a believer! If we read our manual for success (Bible) and obey what it is teaching us, then we will have all our focus on Jesus and the cross! Jesus did everything for us on t
