Are we ready?

ARE WE READY?

I am going to start this article with a question. Do you truly know that if you should drop dead in the next few minutes that heaven is your home? This is something we all need to be very sure of because life doesn’t stop when we die. We just change our address from earth to heaven or hell. There is no in between.

We are eternal beings, and we shall live for eternity somewhere! If we think we are saved, we are not! We must KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that we are born from above and have both an earthly address and a heavenly address. This is done by accepting Jesus as our Savior and living for HIM!

This is a very serious subject for these times in which we live. All prophecy has been fulfilled for the rapture (caught up) to take place. It could happen at any moment! Those who are watchful and ready will be caught up and meet the Lord in the air. Those not ready will stay through the tribulation. Our manual for success (the Bible) is very clear with this instruction:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-15 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. Notice it starts with not to be ignorant which means lack of knowledge! Well, reading this we now have knowledge so we should have hope and no sorrow! And the Scripture continues….

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

This Scripture says we are to comfort one another, so I send you comfort that when we belong to Christ, we are to be aware of the times we live in and be ready. This is not about where we go to church, but about the One we go to church to worship and learn about!

I have heard people say, “Oh Judy, I have heard that all my Christian life,” but I say NOW all the prophecies have been fulfilled for Jesus to blow that trumpet and we rise to meet Him in the air for Him to lead us to our heavenly home. Let us make sure we take inventory of our life and have no bitterness or hold no unforgiveness. That we put God first, and have a heart of repentance each day. Let us not get dull to the signs of the times.

For sure, we live in trouble times, but times that are very exciting. When we belong to Jesus, we are His light shining in the darkness. Let’s arise and shine His light, showing many the way to this eternal truth!

Rejoice means to brighten up, joy, cheer up! Many of us may rejoice when things are going well, but to rejoice when we see the darkness all around us?

We are living in very serious times! It is important that we take an account of our heart. Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to search our heart and expose any hidden place of unforgiveness or offense. If we hang onto those and do not repent, we are the only one chained and we leave a door cracked

These times in which we live, we must be very careful and watchful because they are perilous times. The Apostle Paul teaches us this with amazing clarity in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud

I want us to think about where our focus is. This is very important in these last of the last days! Do we have one foot in the world and the other in the Kingdom of God? If so, we are in BIG trouble because we are not surrendering all we are to Jesus Christ.
