Speaking in Tongues

Dear Judy

Will people always speak in tongues after getting saved?

When we get saved or born-again which means we believe Jesus went to the cross for our sins, died, and rose again. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Believing in Jesus is not mental assent but heart conversion. The Holy Spirit comes to live with and in us at that time. He becomes our guide through life teaching us from the scripture how to function. John 14:16-17   And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. So, every born-again believer has the person of the Holy Spirit living inside them.

Speaking in tongues is call the Baptism with the Holy Spirit and the Spirit comes upon us. Totally different experience with the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. The word power is dynamis meaning miraculous ability. He now comes upon us to cause this miraculous ability to be in His service. We are to be a powerful witness for Him! The sign we are baptized in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongue which is an unknown language to us. After salvation a tool to be a witness and advance the harvest of souls for the kingdom of God is tongues. Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to have miraculous ability to BE all you can be for the glory of God!

A Christian that is born-again has a choice to be baptized with the Holy Spirit! Speaking in tongues is not a requirement for salvation. It is a tool given to us after salvation to always be speaking the perfect prayer in every given situation. While I am here on earth, I want all Jesus has given to us for us to live a victorious, powerful, soul winning life. Makes no sense to me why any born again believer would NOT want to speak tongues boldly!  We do not need it in heaven! We need it here!

This is not a natural concept but a spiritual one and is only understood from our manual for success, the Bible! To be hidden in Christ, you must be born again or if you prefer, born from above!

We are pilgrims just passing through here to our eternal home, but during this journey we have a purpose and plan from our God to complete. Set before us are many paths with many gates. We choose which ones we open. We are not robots. We have a free will.

We need to be very aware we are living in the last of the last days. All around us we see so much evil. Our manual for success (Bible) is very clear about these days in which we are living. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. 2 Timothy 3:1 Perilous times means dangerous and morally corrupt.
